338 The Most Satisfying General Practitioners Of The Lower Silesia Region In Poland

Aim To establish level of patient satisfaction in public and private primary care centres in the Lower Silesia Region and to characterize the most satisfying general practitioners.
Design and methods
We based our questionnaire for patients on the international standardised questionnaires of patient satisfaction. We prepare also the questionnaire for heads of primary care centre with the clinic's profile.
We carried out our investigations in public, private primary care clinics and also GP practices in Wroclaw (the capital city of Lower Silesia), towns with the population above 100 hundreds inhabitants, towns with the population fewer than 100 hundreds inhabitants and in the country.
Results We found significantly higher level of patient satisfaction in the practices of family doctors and established the indicators having an influence on patient satisfaction.
Conclusions
The results showed areas needed for quality improvement: organizational changes and greater emphasize on the communication skills.
In the paper we suggest the possibilities of improvement of patient satisfaction as the main factor of better clinical care and properly functioning family doctor what we plan to emphasize during the vocational training.
