Do doctors have to have been sick in order to show empathy and to understand their patients illnesses? Communication and the patient-doctor interaction are some of the most important, but also most difficult areas of quality improvement in family medicine. Aim: to explore the learning value of ‹doctors as patients»; real or simulated.
Method: by use of role plays and videos to start the reflection and discussion about entering the world of the patient as a tool for quality improvement.
