INTRODUCTION: In Brazil the accompaniment of students during the process of learning of practices in family health care units of the Brazilian Health System - SUS (Unified Health System) comes demanding a professional with ability to stimulate the critical reflection in the orientation of learning activities.
Our objective was to construct a proposal of formation for these professionals using active methodologies to teach and to learn, provide experience of critical processes and study and research on practical activities.
METHOD: The curricular construction used a methodology that allowed the participation of involved ones, where health professionals who develop educational functions, universities professors and managers of public health services at the cities had worked collectively in the production of the course curriculum. We expend four months in seven workshops in order to prepare a course and giving a course for the qualification professors.
RESULTS: In the first workshop actions and activities of the practice area was identified. At the second, was established the performances (knowledge, abilities and attitudes) to produce a matrix of abilities that contemplated the pedagogical practice, the production of knowledge, communication, human relations and work process in health. From these problems the scripts of activities and the final curriculum was produced that was based on three great "educational challenges": to know the field of the education and the pedagogical approach; to develop abilities of communication and ethical attitude; to live and try the educational practice.
