8th IPCRG Scientific Meeting

The International Primary Care Respiratory Group (IPCRG) is delighted to invite you to support our 8th Scientific Meeting in Brașov, Romania, on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th April 2025.

The IPCRG promises a high quality and engaging scientific programme focused on new respiratory research and developments relevant to primary health care. It will give the opportunity for senior researchers, leaders, innovators and early career researchers to exchange knowledge and ideas. It also provides industry colleagues with the chance to present their own research and showcase the products relevant to our audience.

In addition, we will hold another Spirometry Simplified masterclass following the highly successful inaugural session in May 2024, and a Research School to continue to build primary care research capacity.

The 8th IPCRG Scientific Meeting is being organised in conjunction with the RespiRO team, our Romanian Group co-led by Catalina Panaitescu and Cristina Isar, and Transilvania Universitea of Brașov, represented by Andrea Neculau, where the meeting will take place.

The programme is aimed at all healthcare professionals who work in primary care, within family medicine or the community with a respiratory interest who would like to: 

  • Test out their research ideas and methodology  
  • Report on an implementation science project  
  • Present data on the impact of a clinical study 
  • Learn more about colleagues’ research 
  • Identify the unanswered questions in respiratory 
  • Network to share ideas and set up research collaborations 
  • Learn more about primary care research 
  • Gain research skills by attending the Research School 

SCOPE: Diagnosis and management of chronic and infectious respiratory diseases, respiratory symptoms such as cough, wheeze and breathlessness, multi-morbidity including mental health problems, tobacco and vaping dependence, organisation and care in low, middle and high income countries.
