Join us for an interactive webinar brought to you in partnership with WONCA Europe!
Programme overview
WONCA Europe President, Thomas Frese, will join Rocco Barazzoni, Raquel Gómez Bravo and Carel le Roux to explore evolving definitions, diagnostic criteria and management approaches for obesity and provide practical guidance for busy PCPs in implementing best practice strategies for long-term obesity care.
This independent medical education webinar will comprise mini-presentations, expert roundtable discussions and audience polling and Q&A. A shareable ‘reference guide’ capturing key definitions and practical tips for obesity diagnosis, assessment and management in primary care will be provided at the end of the webinar.
Learning objectives
- Upon completion of this activity, the learner will be able to:
- Discuss the rationale for treating obesity as a chronic disease rather than solely as a risk-factor for health complications
- Assess individuals for excess adiposity and obesity-related diseases according to evolving diagnostic criteria
