EURIPA – the European Rural and Isolated Practitioners Association – is seeking a new Administrative Secretary to support its Executive Committee and activities across Europe. This is a flexible, part-time, freelance position ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and an interest in primary care and rural health.
About the role
The Administrative Secretary is the key administrative and organisational support for EURIPA, working closely with the President, officers and Executive Committee, and its working groups. The Administrative Secretary organises meetings, supports the planning and delivery of the annual Rural Health Forum, maintains the membership scheme, produces EURIPA publications, maintains the web site and is the main contact for external organisations.
The Administrative Secretary attends EURIPA’s annual Rural Health Forum and usually the WONCA Europe conference, subject to agreed travel arrangements.
The working language of EURIPA is English.
Working arrangements
The role requires a time commitment of on average up to 8 hours per week spread over the week, with flexibility, and an increase in some peak periods (e.g. before the Forum, major meetings, bulletins).
This is a remote working role. The Administrative Secretary will be home-based, within Europe, with regular on-line meetings but also at least one face to face meeting each year.
The Administrative Secretary will be freelance / self-employed (service contract) and remuneration will be discussed with shortlisted candidates and dependent on experience and credentials.
The anticipated start date is 1 June 2026 with a planned hand-over period with the current Executive Secretary.
