Mehmet became the WONCA Europe President in difficult times. His term should last for only one year. Additionally, the Covid-19 pandemic emerged which brought issues and problems no one knew before.
Nevertheless, Mehmet, with his persistence and energy and optimism, managed to face the continuously evolving issues and tried to solve them, always bearing in mind the good of the organisation.
He led WONCA Europe in very challenging times and had to face many difficult issues also in his private life. Still, his leadership was professional and open, always taking into account different opinions that arose several times in the WE executive board.
He did a tremendous job as a President and deserves our sincere gratitude.
