WONCA Europe invites WONCA Europe Member Organisations to submit bids to host the 28th WONCA Europe Conference in 2023.
Member Organisations interested in hosting are invited to submit proposals by 28th February 2020 to the WONCA Europe Secretariat: SecretariatEurope@Wonca.net.
We highly recommend that the bidding documents are kept as short and concise as possible and include an executive summary of up to four pages, highlighting the most important points of the bid. Moreover, we would like to draw your attention to an important change regarding the bidding procedure effective this year. WONCA Europe has entered into an agreement with a Core Professional Conference Organiser (Core PCO), GUARANT International, for the organisation of the 2023 conference.
The Core PCO will coordinate and undertake logistical tasks, while the scientific part of the conference remains a responsibility of the host Member Organisation. It is, therefore, required that all candidates, in preparation of their bid, contact the Core PCO and check for its logistical feasibility before its submission.
Eligible bids will be considered only those submitted by the aforementioned deadline and checked for their feasibility by the Core PCO, GUARANT International.
Following submission, the WONCA Europe Conference Committee will review the bids for their consistency and compliance with the bidding procedure. Feedback will be sent to all candidates by 10th April 2020.
Subsequently, candidates will have the opportunity to amend and clarify any issues raised and proposed by the Conference Committee by 15th May 2020.
On 24th June 2020, during the WONCA Europe Council Meeting 2020 in Berlin, all eligible candidates will be invited to present their bids.
The host of the 2023 Conference will be awarded by voting during the Council Meeting.
