Tunis 2026: Abstract submission closes on 22 February!
There is now less than a month left to submit your abstract before the 22 February deadline - so now is an excellent time to finish that abstract you've been working on and finalise your plans to join us at the 13th IPCRG World Conference and 1st North African Interdisciplinary Respiratory Forum! Last week, we shared an E-News rounding up the key information you need to know about the abstract submission rules - click here for more details. We also encourage you to book your travel well in advance to secure your preferred connections and affordable costs for travel and accommodation. The main airports near Tunis are Tunis-Carthage and Enfidha-Hammamet and private taxi transfer to the conference venue can be arranged by emailing our organising partners I-Magine. We have set up a Facebook event for the conference - please share this with your peers to stay in the loop!
The programme is packed with interactive workshops, conversation cafés, symposia and poster discussions, and each month we are focusing on a new session to give you a glimpse of what is planned. Building on a novel educational approach from IPCRG's Spanish group, this workshop teaches the crucial topic of inhaler choice and right use using a gameshow format, to introduce fun and jeopardy. It will also include teaching and learning about the personal and environmental impact of asthma attacks and the importance of the right choice of inhaler, including news of new generation propellants in pMDIs.
Message from the chair
In the build-up to Tunis 2026, conference co-chair Habib Ghedira will share regular messages highlighting topics of interest and challenges in the region; last month, he addressed the topic of Saharan dust storms, complementing our climate mitigation session. This month, Habib highlights the importance of the 1st North African Interdisciplinary Respiratory Forum which will run alongside the World Conference, outlining how respiratory patient care is handled in the region and explaining his hopes for the introduction of IPCRG's tools and messages to primary care in Tunis in the wider region.
