The European Health Alliance on Alcohol (EHAA), of which WONCA Europe is member of, representing 1.2 million health professionals across Europe, has submitted a formal letter of support for Ireland’s alcohol labelling regulations, set to take effect in May 2026.
This evidence-based policy is critical for reducing alcohol-related harm, ensuring consumer health literacy, and safeguarding public trust.
We call on the Irish Government to resist commercial pressure and implement this measure without delay.
