PROTECT-EUROPE Online HPV course

 

The PROTECT-Europe project aims to increase HPV vaccine uptake in girls and promoting gender-neutral vaccination across Europe. As part of this project, an online training course, mainly for healthcare professionals, entitled 'HPV Vaccines: From Prevention to Confidence Building' has been developed. This course aims to enhance the HPV knowledge and communication skills of healthcare professionals through online training in English-language.

The training is free and the first edition will start on 2nd September 2024, with the following modules being released weekly as per the schedule below:

HPV vaccines: From Prevention to Confidence building (20h)

Module 1: HPV and related diseases (3hs) – released on 2nd Sept

Module 2: HPV vaccines: an overview (3hs) – released on 9th Sept

Module 3: Prevention of cervical cancer (3hs) – released on 16th Sept

Module 4: Prevention of other HPV-related diseases (3hs) – released on 23rd Sept

Module 5: Single-dose schedule and special populations (1.5hs) – released on 30th Sept

Module 6: HPV vaccine safety (3hs) – released on 7th Oct

Module 7: How can a healthcare worker promote and sustain vaccine confidence (3hs) –     released on 14th Oct

 

Once released, the modules remain available until week 9 (two additional weeks are available for course completion) so that the student chooses the most convenient time for learning. 

Each module has its own exam and certificate (CME accreditation is under review), so students can undertake only the modules they are interested in. For those that complete the 7 modules, an additional certificate of attendance to the full course can be provided.

"We have received the accreditation from the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME). The entire course has been awarded by 19.5 European CME Credits, this correspond to each module is accredited with 3 European CME credits, except for the module 5, which is worth 1.5 credits”
