The WONCA Europe Executive Board met online on 13. April 2026 to review governance, research, finance, communications, and upcoming events.
The Board discussed growing involvement in multiple EU-funded research projects and the need for stronger systems to manage workload, documentation, and partnerships, while reaffirming WONCA Europe’s leadership role in European initiatives.
Updates were provided on finances, collaborations with the European Journal of General Practice, policy advocacy, scholarships, webinars, and communications growth.
Preparations for the Paris Council Meeting and future conferences in Paris, Ljubljana, and Istanbul were reviewed, alongside governance matters including the 2029 conference bid process and appointment planning.
The meeting concluded with operational actions, congratulations to Serdar Oztora on his new presidency of EuroPREV, and confirmation of upcoming Board meetings.
