The General Practice Research on Infections Network (GRIN) held its first meeting in 1999. The GRIN was established by a small group of visionary general practice researchers from the Netherlands, Belgium, Finland and the United Kingdom, who hosted the first four annual meetings in Utrecht, Ghent, Helsinki and Winchester, respectively. GRIN meetings bring together both experienced and starting researchers from most of Europe – and from the United States and Australia – with a special interest in the management of infections in primary care.
This year’s GRIN meeting was held 27th and 28th September 2024 in Cardiff, Wales. About 110 participants enjoyed a 1.5-day program with 50 high-quality presentations including a keynote talk by Professor Kerry Hood, Dean of Research & Innovation at Cardiff University and GRIN member.
