Prof. Shlomo Vinker, President of WONCA Europe, was an invited speaker and active participant at the 5th Euroson PoC-US School, held from 06 to 07 September 2024 in Vienna, Austria, with the theme “The POCUS Curriculum and Guidelines in Frontline Physicians as a Daily Practice”.
This year’s conference focused on the need to train family medicine instructors who can pass on the knowledge and skills of performing bedside Ultrasound to residents and senior doctors. The conference and “hands-on” workshops had over 100 participants, with an additional 100 attending the lectures remotely. The speakers included leading experts in the field from Germany, Austria, Denmark, Hungary, Italy, and Romania, all under the direction of Dr. Mihai Iacob, President of EUVEKUS, who announced at the end of the conference that preparations for the next event, to be held in 2025, have already begun.
