President’s Corner
Dear colleagues,
I want to take a moment to acknowledge the significance of the annual and semi-annual meetings within our Networks that take place in April and May. These gatherings represent pivotal opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional growth, and I am continually impressed by the calibre of content and scientific discourse that characterizes these events.
As president, I have been fortunate to attend the network activities, each providing valuable insights and perspectives on the state of family medicine in Europe. A few days ago, I had the privilege of participating in the EYFDM council meeting and the Vienna conference, which left a lasting impression due to their engaging content, impeccable organization, and relevance to our field. Furthermore, I am pleased to note the commendable activity within our Special Interest Groups (SIGs), which are vital in advancing specific areas of interest and expertise within our profession.
In the spirit of collaboration and knowledge exchange, I warmly invite all Networks and SIGs to share details of their upcoming meetings and conferences with our members. By fostering greater transparency and accessibility, we can ensure that our collective expertise reaches as wide an audience as possible, benefiting our patients and communities.
Thank you for being so dedicated to advancing the field of family medicine, and I look forward to our continued collaboration and success in the years ahead.
Warm regards,
Prof Shlomo Vinker
WONCA Europe President
