President’s Corner

Dear Colleagues,

We're on the brink of the summer holiday season, a time for each of us to dedicate time to our families and friends and disconnect from our challenging, yet often exhausting, daily work. We all need to recharge our batteries before autumn and winter arrive, bringing with them increased seasonal illness that adds to the pressure and workload in our clinics.

Here at WONCA Europe, we'll continue working through the summer as we are in the final stages of preparing to host the WONCA World Conference in Lisbon, Portugal, in September 2025. We've received over 4,000 abstracts for the conference and anticipate thousands of participants from around the globe. The Organizing and Scientific Committees are working incredibly hard to create an attractive, engaging, and innovative program. This is the perfect opportunity to thank my colleagues from Europe, and especially those from Portugal, for their dedicated and professional work.

Before you head off for your holiday, please take a moment to read our newsletter and share it with your colleagues. We look forward to seeing you all in Lisbon!

Sincerely,

Prof. Shlomo Vinker
President of WONCA Europe
