President’s Corner
Dear colleagues,
We have just finished a very successful WONCA Europe conference in collaboration with the ICGP in Dublin. Over 2,500 participants from all across Europe and many countries outside of Europe attended the conference. The conference was impeccably organized, with attractive, enriching, and diverse guest lectures. The workshops, lectures, and posters were highly scientific and represented European family medicine's diverse work.
During the conference, we also held important meetings with our networks and special interest groups, as well as with senior officials from UEMO and EFPC, who were our guests at the conference. Before the conference, we had a council meeting, which was also successful and productive. Among the major topics discussed at the council meeting were the approval of the organization's budget for the coming years, the establishment of a new special interest group focusing on family doctors' health, and several changes to the bylaws. Ljubljana, Slovenia, was also chosen as the host country for the WONCA Europe conference in 2027. It is also worth mentioning that before this, we are hosting the WONCA World Conference in September 2025 in Lisbon, Portugal.
