WONCA Europe Sponsorship Policy Group

Revision 03 – 20th September 2016

WONCA Europe has developed a guideline that determines the terms under which external sponsorships can be accepted for events, projects and other initiatives both at an international and national level, and whenever the brand of our organisation is employed. However, such a guideline was last revised during the Council meeting in the 2007 Conference in Paris. Further work is needed to update it and make it more relevant reflecting the increasing representation and influence of WONCA Europe.

The WONCA Europe Executive Board (EB) seeks two colleagues to establish a task group that will be able to:

  • Explore the current policies of the member organisations of WONCA Europe and provide a synthesis of them;

  • Consult with the WONCA Europe Conference Committee;

  • Provide recommendations on the policies that WONCA Europe should adopt, taking into account the diversity of the European context;

  • Investigate how the current policies compare with those applied in WONCA World, liaise with the CEO, and explore how the revised guidelines can be aligned;

  • Revise the guidelines accordingly.

Additionally, an additional third member will join the group from the WONCA Europe EB.

The task group should submit its proposal to the WONCA Europe EB within six months. Based on the feedback from the EB, a final document will be prepared in time for the WONCA Europe Council meeting that will be held in Prague on 28th June 2017.

Applicants are invited to submit their candidacy, including a short CV and a supporting letter from a WONCA Europe Member Organisation, to our Secretariat by 15th October. The final decision will be made by the WONCA Europe Executive Board. For equity and diversity reasons, we encourage colleagues coming from different countries, networks and special interest groups to apply for the position.
