European Cancer Organisation (E.C.O.)

The European Cancer Organisation is the largest multi-professional cancer organisation in Europe. It aims to reduce the burden of cancer, improve outcomes and the quality of care for cancer patients, through multi-disciplinarity and multi-professionalism. As the not-for-profit federation of member organisations working in cancer at a European level, the European Cancer Organisation convenes oncology professionals and patients to agree policy, advocate for positive change and speak up for the European cancer community.

Wonca Europe and the European Cancer Organisation signed a Collaboration Agreement in March 2021. This agreement serves as a framework agreement for collaboration between WONCA Europe and the European Cancer Organisation (E.C.O.) to develop and implement joint activities that support the role of General Practitioners and Family Physicians in reducing the burden of cancer, serving and improving lives of patients and citizens across Europe.
