Instructions for the translation of WONCA Europe documents

Please follow the following instructions for the translation of WONCA Europe documents:

a) The national college or WONCA Europe network selects one bilingual person (certified proficient in English (level C2)) for the translation into the local language.

b) A small local committee of at least three people, in addition to the translator, evaluates the equivalence of the translation in a meeting.

c) All translated material is submitted to the WONCA Europe Secretariat and the Secretariat of the involved network.

d) The material will be distributed under the Creative Commons ShareAlike NonCommercial licence (unless otherwise desired and indicated) by the national college, WONCA Europe and the involved network from their website and other channels. Kindly include a note regarding the licence in the translated material (You may include the following text: “This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.” ).

In case there is a part of your content that requires more attention, feel free to follow a more rigorous process (e.g. with two forward, two backward translations, etc.).
