Web-Based Course on Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)

This online course has 4 modules which consists of a 10 minutes’ didactic lecture, links to complementary materials and a short pre-test and post-module test. 

Objectives

  • Understand the epidemiology and burden of CKD, including the Cardiovascular (CV) risks.
  • Understand the overall unmet needs in managing CKD early.
  • Increase awareness amongst PCPs of the need and urgency to screen for CKD in high-risk patients.
  • Improve competence in recognition, diagnosis and interpretation of renal function.
  • Activate Health Care Professionals to address CKD in multi-morbid patients earlier. 
  • The course is suitable for general practitioners and other primary care doctors, and other healthcare related professionals interested in this topic.

Course Modules

  1. Module:  Early Chronic Kidney Disease Detection:  Why, Who, What, and How.
  2. Module: The need to screen and identification of who is at risk.
  3. Module: New era of organ-protective therapies for the kidneys and heart.
  4. Module: Final consideration and Take-Home Messages.

Certificate of participation

A certificate of participation and graduation will be given to participants that complete all the web-based modules and have completed the post module test.
