Turkey's only National Family Medicine Congress, organized by the Turkish Association of Family Physicians (TAHUD) since 1993, will hold its 20th congress this year.

The “National Family Medicine Congress” has an important place in the history of Family Medicine in Turkey and will continue to work with the same sense of responsibility to maintain this vision.

Due to the pandemic we organized the 19th National Family Medicine Congress online with the theme "Being a Family Physician in Corona Days" between 29 October - 01 November 2020. In line with this theme, for three days, the pandemic and its reflections were discussed in detail with the active participation of various Specialization Associations, Academicians, Family Medicine specialists and assistants working in the field, with their biological, psychological and social aspects. The National Congress, which was completed with 392 participants, created a very productive discussion area for primary care and its stakeholders, allowing important results to be achieved.

As a result of the feedback we received and the evaluations we made during and after this congress, we decided to prepare the National Family Medicine Congress online this year as well. Without compromising our congress quality and standards, we will hold our 20th National Congress between 11 -14 November 2021, again with a satisfying scientific content and the opportunities created by digital environments.

I invite our members and all Turkish speaking primary care stakeholders to the 20th National Family Medicine Congress organized by the Turkish Association of Family Physicians (TAHUD).
