We are pleased to announce that registration is OPEN for the 2024 International Balint Congress in Boulder, Colorado next fall! September 9 - 13, 2024 we will host our Balint colleagues from around the world, united in our shared purpose of promoting reflection and emotional processing among the healing professions.
Settled at the foot of the majestic Boulder Flatirons, the Colorado Chautauqua was founded in 1898 and has been in continuous operation from its inception. In the late 1800s and early 1900s, Chautauquas were innovative retreats that fostered opportunities to share education, culture, music, and nature. We hope the 2024 Congress will infuse that heritage as we learn from each other though Balint, embracing the nature and culture around us. The Colorado Chautauqua provides beautiful views from every direction, access to 40 miles of hiking trails of varying levels of difficulty, yoga, star-gazing, and history tours.
The Congress theme, Cultivating Understanding and Compassion Through Balint, encourages us to explore how Balint work increases our capacity to seek and tolerate perspectives and circumstances different from our own. What are the mechanisms by which this is achieved? What have you learned about yourself and others when Balint work didn’t go as planned? There is no room block associated with the Congress. The property is a popular destination and is expected to fill quickly.
