Call for Communications Advisory Board

Dear colleagues of the WONCA Europe Member Organisations, Networks and Special Interest Groups,

In the WONCA Europe Council that was held in Prague on 28th June 2017, the Communication Strategy was adopted (for your reference, please find attached the background on the proposal).

According to the strategy, an Advisory Board will be established, consisting of four elected members coming from the WONCA Europe networks, and an appointed WONCA Europe Executive Board member who will chair it. Members will be elected for a three-year period by the WONCA Europe Council.

The Communications Advisory Board will strategically support the Communication Facilitator, assess the communication needs of the Networks and WESIGs and the progress of the communication strategy, and guarantee quality assurance.

We would like to invite all WONCA Europe Member Organisations, Networks and Special Interest Groups to propose candidates for the election of the four members of the Communications Advisory Board. Please send your nominations to secretariateurope@wonca.net by 9th October 2017.

The nominations should include:

  1. a personal motivational letter;
  2. a curriculum vitae of maximum two pages, which will include a list of qualifications and/or experiences related to conference organisation;
  3. a letter of support from at least one MO;
  4. a recommendation letter from at least one WONCA Europe Network;

All four abovementioned items are mandatory for the eligibility of the candidate. The WONCA Europe Executive Board strongly encourages candidates to seek joint support from more than one Networks.

Thereafter, all Member Countries will be invited to cast their preference and elect the members of the Communications Advisory Board with an anonymous electronic vote.

Kind regards,

Dr Anna Stavdal
