Invitation to Contribute WONCA Europe Dublin Conference

Registration for the 29th WONCA Europe Conference, 25-28 September 2024, Dublin is officially open!

The conference will provide you with a chance to discuss choices and implement positive change. This year's theme is The Changing Nature of Family Medicine – Cultivating the Future. The abstract submission deadline is 30 March 2024.

The Scientific Committee of the 29th WONCA Europe Conference invites members of WONCA Europe networks to contribute to review the abstracts and act as chairs of scientific sessions in Dublin.

The conference fee is not waived and potential candidates for the chairs are members that already decided to participate and register.

The abstract submission deadline for the 29th WONCA Europe Dublin Conference is 30 March 2024. We guess reviewing dates will be a time after this date with some delays because of possible extension of abstract submission. More information will be given from the Conference Secretariat.

If you would be willing to participate at the review process and act as chairs in Dublin please send your name to woncaeurope2024@guarant.cz by Saturday 30th, March.

We are thrilled to announce that applications are now open for bursaries to attend the prestigious WONCA Europe Conference, set to take place in the vibrant city of Dublin in 2024. This is an extraordinary opportunity for practitioners, researchers, and students in the field of family medicine to connect, learn, and share knowledge in an international arena.

Bursary Details
We use the Fund especially to support those who have low income, as well as those who are new to the international community of Family Physicians. We are convinced that participation in
the mentioned events can boost the motivation of being a great physician and build a strong network of family doctors across the continent.

The refund can cover:
- registration fee for the EYFDM Preconference Dublin 2024
- registration fee for the WONCA Europe Conference Dublin 2024
- the cost of flight tickets to EYFDM Preconference and WONCA Europe Conference in Dublin
- the cost of accommodation during EYFDM Preconference and WONCA Europe Conference in Dublin

Who Can Apply?
Medical practitioners and researchers working within family medicine.
Medical students with a keen interest in the field of family medicine.
Individuals who have shown commitment to the field but lack funding to attend international events.

How to Apply
Interested candidates must submit the following documents:

Application form (saved Name_AF_Dublin 2024) (see below)
Proof of a young doctor status: GP trainee or during the first 6 years after trainin (saved as Name_Status_Dublin2022)
Applicant’s picture (saved as Name_Picture_Dublin2024)
All the documents must be sent by email.

Application Deadline
All the documents must be sent by the 31st of March.

Notification of Outcome
The applicants will be informed about results through emails by the 20th of April.

CALL FOR THE JUNIOR RESEARCHER AWARD 2024

The European Young Family Doctors' Movement wants to encourage New and Future General Practitioners/Family Physicians (GP/FM) to develop their research skills to improve health care in primary care. For this reason, the EYFDM presents an annual Junior Research Award with the aim of rewarding advanced projects of GP/FM trainees or junior GP/FM physicians with up to 6 years working experience after graduation.

Applicants are asked to describe in detail a research project and finalists will be invited to present it during a EYFDM workshop at the WONCA Europe Conference in Dublin. Read everything you need to apply here.

One of the key aims of the European Journal of General Practice (EJGP) is to foster scientific research in general practice/family medicine (GP/FM) and primary health care (PHC) in Europe by publishing relevant scientific articles. Submitted manuscripts are handled via our manuscript management system https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/EJGP. All submitted manuscripts are peer-reviewed (double-blind).

To improve the selection of appropriate reviewers for this purpose, we would like to expand our database of experts. CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR THE MONTEGUT GLOBAL SCHOLARS PROGRAME 2024

Dear Colleagues,

WONCA is launching the Montegut Global Scholar Program (MGSP) call for 2024. Sponsored by the American Board of Family Medicine Foundation since 2010, the MGSP aims to advance international education, research, and collaboration in family medicine.

A scholarship of US $3,300 is available to support one family physician from the WONCA Europe region to attend the 29th WONCA Europe 2024 Conference in Dublin (September 25th - 28th).
