Latest news from INTERFAMILY Clinic Uzhhorod Ukraine

Dear all!

Only a month has passed since the Grand Opening of the INTERFAMILY Clinic but so much has happened. The most important is that the Clinic which has been created thanks to your help, exists!

1. The latest EURACT meeting in Krakow ( Poland) which Dr Pavlo Kolesnyk  attended,  gave very useful  contacts with some colleagues  from the UK, Scotland, Israel , Slovenia, Switzerland and Malta. We are sure that all these contacts will contribute to the Interfamily Clinic further development.

2. Our EUSIT (supporting Ukrainian GPs and GP trainees in their online   training) and  EUSITPEP(Patient Education)  Projects  are getting new options for their realization. We start a chain of online meetings ,” Lullaby in uncertainty” and  “Singing together”  with Prof.Alex

3. The Medical Exchange Project (MEP) is gaining its popularity. During this period four experts from the USA, the UK, France and Spain took part in the medical activities of the Clinic and gave presentations to the staff. One young volunteer from France is arriving soon for 2 months training at the Clinic and studying Ukrainian language. Two doctors of the Clinic are invited to get the ultrasound training in Slovenia in February. All of you are welcome to visit and work with us!

4. The growing number of our international colleagues keep on bringing medical equipment and  medications . We are grateful to all of them!

5. Today is the 253-d day since the beginning of Russia's full scale aggression against Ukraine and we have about 60 000 potential patients from the internally displaced people who fled into Uzhhorod from Eastern and Southern parts of Ukraine and we understand even more now how important our mission is. The national resources of Ukraine have been directed to the military, and for this reason, funds were and are delayed for medical services. All IDP living in Uzhhorod are registered in distant clinics that often no longer exist due to missile strikes. That is why we have prepared a new SIC project (Sustainability of Interfamily Clinic) which is attached for your attention. In this Project we regard the reasons and paths to help the Clinic survive till the final Ukraine’s victory.
