Target Audience and Goal Statement

This educational activity is intended for an international audience of non-US primary care physicians and other physicians who care for patients with neuropathic pain.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to detect different types of neuropathic pain in at-risk patients and make appropriate pain management choices.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Burden of neuropathic pain on patients
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Detecting neuropathic pain in at-risk patients
    • Balancing efficacy and safety/addiction potential when making pain management choices for patients with neuropathic pain
