With the aim of scouting out future international leaders of Family Medicine / General Practice, WONCA Europe awards a 2–4 year scholarship every year. Candidates are asked to propose a programme, which would support their personal and professional growth, as well as a mentor who will follow them during the duration of the programme. An annual sum of up to €2,000 per scholar is made available to support activities such as attending WONCA Network meetings, participating in a FM360 exchange, visiting a Family Medicine Department, or the WHO or reviewing a health policy document.
For 2022 we would like to congratulate Dr. Margarida Gil Conde for her acceptance to the Scholarship program.
Margarida is an attending Physician in Family Medicine at the Family Unit Jardins da Encarnação, Lisboa and a teacher of Family Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon. She is member of the Research and Ethics Committee, Region of Lisbon and is a Postgraduate Student, Portugal Clinical Scholars Research Training Program, Harvard Medical School. She is doing her PhD at CAML, Epidemiology and Public Health Unit, Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon.
