Shlomo Vinker, President of WONCA Europe – “These are challenging times for Family Medicine”
The 40th National FGM Meeting will feature a special session dedicated to the anticipation of the WONCA World Conference in 2025, which will take place in Lisbon and will be organized in partnership by the APMGF and the WONCA European Region. Participating in this debate will be Carlos Martins, president of the European Network for Prevention and Health promotion in Family Medicine and General Practice (EUROPREV) and Shlomo Vinker, president of the WONCA European Region. This last leader reveals to us, in a brief interview, that in Vilamoura he will try to bring his Portuguese colleagues closer to the activities carried out by WONCA Europe and the reality of FGM on a European scale, not hiding at the same time that health systems in general and the specialty, in particular, are going through difficult times. A period of great changes, which advises cooperation, networking and common purposes.
