Prof. Shlomo Vinker from Israel, WONCA Europe President and Prof. Thomas Frese, WONCA Europe President Elect along with the President of the Balkan Southeast European Association of General Medicine, Prof. Ljubin Sukriev, among others, took part in the opening of the the European Balkan Family Medicine Conference that was held in Timișoara (Romania), 15-17 December 2023 Its theme was “technological revolution and innovative methods in medical practice”.
Timisoara is the European Cultural Capital 2023 The conference was held in 3 parallel rooms, had 8 sessions of scientific communications, 8 Workshops of the Working Groups of the Romanian National Society of Family Medicine, 3 round tables, together with the Leaders of the professional organizations that are members of the South East European Association of General Medicine. More than 90 Speakers, some of the best professionals from the country and abroad, presented news related to technology and innovative methods of diagnosis and treatment during two days in three rooms in parallel. Almost 500 participants registered.
The chair of the Organising committee was Dr Mihai Iacob, President of Timiș Society of Family Medicine and Vice-president of Romanian Society of Family Medicine.
