WONCA Europe president, Dr. Shlomo Vinker, took part in XV DNOOM International Congress "Family Medicine today: challenges and opportunities” that took place in Zagreb (Croatia) from 14-17/03/2024. It was organised by the Association of Teachers in General Practice/ Family Medicine of Croatia.
In the panel, we learned about the difficulties and challenges in different European countries. Representatives from Eastern and Western European countries were on the panel. It was interesting to find that we all share the same challenges – shortage of family doctors, increased workload, burnout, and abandonment. We shared our proposals to improve the future and attractively.
